Despite hearing the news a few hours ago, I'm still having difficulty processing the fact that Heath Ledger is really gone. It was very unexpected. When my sister first told me about the news, I didn't believe her at first because her source was her teacher and I figured that it was out of sarcasm or just utter bullshit. Then, I got home this afternoon around 3:45 and immediately turned the TV on to some prominent news channel and realized that it was true. The tragic news had struck me pretty hard and I just stood in front of the TV, stunned. Heath had died at such a young age and he had so much ahead of him. I can definitely empathize with his friends and family. He just finished filming The Dark Knight and it's truly terrible how he'll miss out on this accomplishment with so many others, like the premieres. May you rest in peace, Heath. <3

I think it's time for an update, hehe.

Unfortunately, winter break has ended (about a week ago, actually), which explains my absence from the world wide web. School is hectic more than ever. Well, it's always been like this whenever the quarter or semester is coming to a close. In marketing, I have a presentation on Friday and a report due Tuesday. I have to interview an owner or employee from any business, regarding the nine marketing functions and I hope I get it done by tomorrow. I just called my cousin's boyfriend because he's a store manager at Wal-Mart. Then, I have to write another report in U.S. History for honors credit and finish my self-evaluation for our American Literature exhibition project. I had to do a presentation on it today and it was just terrible. I didn't even prepare it because I was working on the writing portion of it last night, until 3:00 am. It was absolutely frustrating and I just started to swear into oblivion because I knew I wouldn't get it all finished in time. All of a sudden, I was like, "God, I wished it snowed unexpectedly tomorrow." So, I set my alarm to 6:00 am and went to bed. To my horror, the alarm didn't go off and I overslept two hours later. My brother came bursting into my room and I was like, "Why isn't he in school, yet?" Then, I discovered that school won't be opening until 10:45 because the roads were glazed with ice. I was just awestruck and grateful for such a miraculous event, lol. And yes, with that opportunity, I was able to get much of the report done. But it's too bad it won't be like that again tomorrow (according to the local news). I actually wasn't as tired as usual, haha.

I'm also absolutely excited that I got my DVD's in the mail yesterday, 3:10 to Yuma and Paris, Je T'aime (wow, that looks bizarre in caps, lol)! But the Bale-goodness will have to wait until the weekend, hehe. :D And speaking of movies, it was really disappointing that the Golden Globes were cancelled. It was such a dull feeling to be listening to the winners being announced in one hour's time without any appearances by the actors and not seeing them receive their award. I'm hoping the Academy Awards won't be at risk.

I hope everyone has a safe and great one! ♥ I absolutely can't believe that 2007 is already coming to an end. It's quite sad, yet exciting, haha. Anyway, my day has been quite boring so far, bleh. It's times like these that I really miss Hawaii. I'd probably be out with everyone playing fireworks and actually celebrating by now. So I'll be going now to watch the countdown on TV :D

I don't know if I'll be online tomorrow, so...Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope you guys have a great one :D We'll be expecting guests tomorrow for lunch and dinner (I think? Or just dinner), which is why I finally decided to clean my room, haha. I was really annoyed with the amount of dust that had been collected on the bookshelf and under the computer desk.
